Contemplating Launch Day

Well the day is here, at last, when I share what’s been in the works for the last 2 years.  The launch of Buttercup Bodywear! Wow. I’ve worked in business for many years, created and sold plenty of ideas into bosses, clients and customers but when you bring to life and offer to the world something that is wholly your own creation, that you’ve really invested yourself in, it’s a little be scary!  But here I am.  Like all those self-help books, blogs, posts and yogi masters preach – you need to step out of your comfort zone to really accomplish anything at all!  Well I have drank the Kool-aid, made friends with my fears and jumped off the high board!

As today is launch day, I thought I would provide a little insight on the why, how and what of Buttercup Bodywear. It all started with me standing in my closet, staring at my clothes for about the millionth time and wishing that it was easier to get dressed.  Seriously, what was I going to wear that was stylish, comfortable and flattering?! What combination of bra, base layer, tank, tee or dress would work!  And beyond that, I was so sick of trying to find a comfortable bra – one that didn’t drive you crazy.  One that gave you good support and shape but didn’t dig in, didn’t have an underwire and didn't have straps peeking out that ruined your look.  I thought there had to be a better way and I figured if I had these problems other women must too!

This lead to 18 months of product development and testing to develop a line of modern wardrobe essentials with a built-in “bra”.  This “bra” is what took so much time and what we now call, the Power Perfecter.  We named it this because of how well is supports and shapes your bust while smoothing your back without any hardware or separate straps to ruin your day.  It is fully integrated (sewn in) to all Buttercup styles - so every time you put on one of our tops, tanks or dresses you have the perfect bra/support layer built right in.  And of course, there is no need to wear a separate bra!

Let’s face it there is not much fun about wearing a bra all day, every day. My goal is to free women from their uncomfortable bras forever!
